Documentation Specialist

We are Superior Controls, New England's largest independent automation systems integrator, and selected as the "Worldwide Systems Integrator of the Year" by Control Engineering Magazine.  We are currently seeking to add a Documentation Specialist to our team in Seabrook, NH. Candidates interested in full or part-time employment will be considered.

Primary Purpose:  

Candidate will be responsible for reviewing and updating internal procedures and project technical documentation.  The candidate will assist in creating system lifecycle documents including User Requirements Specifications (URS), Functional Specifications (FS), Hardware Design Specifications (HDS), and Software Design Specifications (SDS), and in developing Traceability Matrices and acceptance/qualification test plans.  This individual will provide documentation support during testing, and perform reviews of executed test protocols using Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Essential Responsibilities:

Assess and record requests for assistance.  Gather necessary information and identify personnel required for assistance

Read and understand system drawings and design documents

Review documentation/validation requirements with the Automation Engineer

Review and update documentation developed by Engineering for a work order

Review and update in-house system documentation as required

Provide support to Engineering for test protocols

Knowledge, Abilities, Skills:

Reading and understanding system life cycle documents such as the URS, FS, HDS and SDS is a plus.

Familiarity with equipment and processes used in a biotech facility such as bioreactors, mixing tanks, filtration systems, clean utilities, and CIP is a plus

Knowledge of Good Automated Manufacturing Practice (GAMP) is a plus

Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) is a plus

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or  Science

Proficient with MS Word and MS Excel
